Yandal Resources Limited (ASX: YRL) has reported new assay results from a nine-hole reverse circulation drilling program at the Siona prospect, part of its Ironstone Well gold project in Western Australia. The program was designed to test mineralisation situated southwest of the main Siona structure. Results confirmed a coherent, near-horizontal zone of gold mineralisation within the upper regolith profile.

Key intercepts include 17 metres at 1.3g/t gold from 37 metres depth in hole 26IWBRC0084, including a higher-grade interval of 3 metres at 5.0g/t gold. Another hole, 26IWBRC0074, returned 13 metres at 1.5g/t gold from 45 metres, with a 2-metre section grading 8.1g/t gold.

The current drilling identified a flat-dipping plane of mineralisation, though the strongly weathered and oxidised state of the samples makes it difficult to immediately confirm if these intercepts reflect a primary mineralised structure or secondary supergene gold enrichment. Consequently, the company has flagged the need for further evaluation.

Yandal Resources maintains an active exploration focus across the wider New England Granite target area. The current findings will be incorporated into an updated exploration target for the Siona prospect, which the company expects to release in early August 2026. Looking ahead, management has confirmed that additional RC drilling is scheduled for the second half of 2026 to further investigate the geometry of the new intercepts. Meanwhile, separate air-core programs at the project remain in the pipeline, pending the receipt of final heritage approvals for the site.
