Yandal Resources Reports New Arrakis Drill Results
Yandal Resources (ASX:YRL) has released assay results from four diamond drill holes completed in May at its Ironstone Well gold discovery. The latest program focused on assessing the geometry and continuity of mineralisation at depth, yielding several notable intercepts. Among these, hole 26IWBRC0066D returned 11.5 metres at 1.6 grams per tonne gold from 347.6 metres, while hole 25IWBRC0050D intersected 18.0 metres at 1.8 grams per tonne gold from 290 metres.
The results confirm that the mineralised system remains open at depth. Notably, the drilling validated a high-grade domain of mineralisation to the south and provided structural confirmation of significant gold intercepts below a previously identified cross-cutting shear zone. Management believes these geological findings are essential for refining the company's broader predictive model.
"Our diamond drilling program has very successfully demonstrated that the Arrakis mineralised system remains open at depth, with several intercepts demonstrating a now familiar style of high-grade mineralisation more than 250m from surface."
"Understanding these controls is critical for building a predictive model that can be used to target higher-grade gold mineralisation across the Arrakis discovery and the broader IWB Gold Project."

To further bolster its geological understanding, the company is integrating newly processed ground gravity data into its current workflows. This information is being used to refine stratigraphic and structural interpretations across the Arrakis and Flushing Meadows prospects. By mapping these features, the exploration team aims to optimize future drill targeting across the wider project area.
Looking ahead, the company is advancing its technical work to define the discovery's potential. An exploration target for the Arrakis gold discovery is currently being prepared and is scheduled for publication in late July 2026. This process will incorporate the recent diamond drilling data alongside results from an ongoing targeted infill reverse circulation program designed to refine the extent of identified high-grade trends.
Beyond internal project advancements, the broader district has seen corporate consolidation. Notably, IsoEnergy recently finalized its acquisition of the Wiluna uranium project, marking a change in ownership for that local asset. Yandal Resources continues to focus its exploration efforts on its own pipeline, with extensional reverse circulation drilling results to the south-east of the Arrakis prospect expected in the near term. These incoming assays, combined with the structural models currently under development, represent the next stage of technical assessment for the site. The upcoming exploration target publication will serve as the primary catalyst for the company as it moves deeper into the second half of the year, aiming to delineate the total scale of the mineralisation found across the project.
