Yari Resources Identifies Multiple Product Pathways at Arcadia Coal Project

Yari Resources Limited has identified potential product pathways for semi-soft coking, pulverized coal injection and high-energy thermal coal at its recently acquired Arcadia Coal Project in central Queensland's Bowen Basin.

An independent coal-quality review conducted by McMahon Resources evaluated historical data from 44 bore cores and 1,472 samples across the principal B, C and D seams of the Bandanna Formation. The assessment established that Arcadia's coal averages approximately 10% in-situ ash, providing a low-ash starting point that supports raw-coal pathways with beneficiation offering further potential to enhance product quality.

Preliminary tonnage-weighted analysis indicates that selective mining could achieve an average Crucible Swell Number of approximately 3 across roughly 32% of the assessed low-ash deposit, pointing to potential semi-soft coking characteristics. Historical beneficiation testwork also indicates that washing can reduce ash and increase the swell number by 1 to 2 points.

The 32% figure represents a preliminary coal-quality assessment that excludes loss and dilution, and does not constitute a separate Mineral Resource estimate.

Yari acquired a 100% interest in the 282Mt Arcadia deposit in August 2026, which encompasses tenements EPC 1054, EPC 1772 and EPC 1042. The asset is being advanced as part of the company's broader Rolleston district coal strategy, operating regionally proximate to Yari's existing Rolleston South Coal Project.

To support ongoing resource expansion, Yari is expanding the project's technical dataset by incorporating five cored petroleum and coal seam gas wells alongside three 2022 coal-exploration holes that were excluded from the previous 2017 geological model.

Yari and McMahon Resources will now undertake detailed analysis to define potential product proportions, yields, specifications and beneficiation requirements across the coking, pulverized coal injection and thermal pathways.
