Yukon Metals Completes UAV Aeromagnetic Survey at AZ Copper-Gold Project
Yukon Metals Corp. has completed a 400 line-kilometre UAV aeromagnetic survey across its 100%-owned AZ Copper-Gold Project in the Yukon, identifying two intersecting structural trends that converge at an untested drill target.
Flight lines were flown north-south at 25-metre spacing with 250-metre tie lines over an area of approximately 2.5 by 3.5 kilometres. The survey utilized a GEM Systems GSMP-35U potassium-vapour magnetometer in a towed-sensor configuration at a nominal altitude of 45 metres. The project lies six kilometres west of the Alaska Highway and 36 kilometres south of Beaver Creek.
Data processing revealed two prominent orientations. A west-northwest-trending magnetic feature at approximately 280° coincides with elevated copper-in-soil values, mapped azurite-malachite mineralization, and weak quartz-sericite-pyrite alteration. A second north-northwest-trending feature at approximately 345° is spatially associated with a separate copper-in-soil anomaly extending from the ridge crest onto the adjacent slope.
The two trends converge in an area not directly tested by the 2026 drill program, which totals approximately 2,000 metres in three holes alongside 325 soil samples, 280 rock samples, and Induced Polarization geophysics. Total magnetic intensity data correspond broadly with a diorite unit in the southwest, while first vertical derivative processing highlighted linear magnetic breaks interpreted as potential structural features. The company noted that the magnetic interpretation remains preliminary and individual features have not yet established mineralizing significance.

The Yukon Metals portfolio was built on more than 30 years of prospecting by the Berdahl family, the team behind Snowline Gold Corp.'s portfolio. The portfolio consists primarily of copper-gold projects with substantial exposure to tungsten, alongside gold, silver, and lead-zinc assets.

"The convergence of two interpreted trends; one coinciding with surface copper mineralization and QSP alteration, the other with a separate soil anomaly, defines a zone that is yet to be tested by our current drill coverage and that we consider a priority for further work. We look forward to integrating this dataset with our IP, geochemistry and drilling results as we advance targeting at AZ."
Yukon Metals will continue to integrate the new magnetic data with surface geology, soil and rock geochemistry, IP geophysics, drill-core observations, and assay results to refine the interpretation of magnetic trends, evaluate the convergence zone, and assess localized magnetic lows within the broader diorite response.
