PTX Metals Completes Phase 1 Drilling at Shining Tree
PTX Metals Inc. has completed Phase 1 exploration drilling at its Shining Tree Gold Project in Ontario’s Timmins camp, with assay results now pending.
The completed program totaled 1,209 metres across six drill holes targeting historic Ronda mineralization along the Ridout-Tyrrell Deformation Zone. Prior to drilling, PTX completed a high-resolution drone magnetic survey and a structural analysis by SRK Consulting across the property to define priority targets.

Variable alteration and veining were observed in all completed holes, though PTX noted that alteration and veining are not necessarily indicative of mineralization. All core has been sampled and submitted to Activation Laboratories in North Bay.
Concurrent with the drilling, the company undertook a surface exploration program over the northwestern portion of the project along a previously untested section of the deformation zone, collecting 321 soil samples and 59 grab samples with assay results also pending.
The Shining Tree and Heenan Mallard projects are held by South Timmins Mining Corp., in which PTX holds a 75 per cent equity interest and Fancamp Exploration Ltd. holds the remaining 25 per cent. PTX acquired the Ronda surface claims at the property in 2022 and has advanced exploration through stripping, channel sampling, and geophysical programs under the joint venture.
Elsewhere within the surrounding district, summer drilling at the Moray gold project returned 3.12 g/t gold over 6.5 metres.
