WestGold Defines 2 km Priority Target at Amie and Expands Idaho Land Package
WestGold Metals Corp. has completed its review of the historical technical database for its Idaho Portfolio, defining a principal chargeability anomaly approximately 1,950 metres in length at the Amie gold-silver project alongside an expansion of its land holdings.
The review incorporated a 2025 induced polarization survey and a 2024 independent structural mapping study commissioned by IDEX Metals Corp. Three-dimensional modelling outlined eleven geophysical targets, including a main chargeability body spanning roughly 1,950 metres. WestGold integrated these datasets with historical soil geochemistry, rock sampling and structural mapping to revise proposed drill collar positions.

The company staked an additional 37 unpatented lode claims covering approximately 308.8 hectares at Amie, increasing the total Idaho Portfolio to 124 claims covering approximately 984.5 hectares. The expanded claim package covers interpreted northerly structural extensions beneath post-mineral cover and along-strike continuations of priority geophysical axes.
A surface exploration program comprising 566 soil samples, geological mapping and rock sampling is underway at Amie and Silver Rock to finalise maiden drill collar positions, azimuths and depths. Drilling at Amie is authorised under an existing U.S. Bureau of Land Management Mining Notice, which WestGold is transferring into its name and renewing for a further two-year term.
WestGold acquired the option to secure a 90% interest in the Idaho Portfolio, which encompasses the Amie, Silver Rock and Demming projects, in July 2026. The transaction requires CAD$100,000 in cash, 5,737,000 common shares and C$5,000,000 in exploration expenditures over three years. Exploration activities are funded in part by a C$2,000,000 private placement closed in June 2026 through the issuance of 25,000,000 units at C$0.08 per unit.
“When we closed the Idaho option in July we said we would report back once we had worked through the technical database, and our team has been on that work since due diligence.”
“Joining both datasets has allowed us to position holes that test specific structures in their most prospective location below cover.”
— James Hocking, Chief Executive Officer, and Antoine Soucy-Fradette, Vice President Exploration
Field teams are currently executing the final surface work required prior to commencing drilling.
